The Hawthorn Room

The Hawthorn Room is a calm, welcoming counselling space designed to feel comfortable rather than clinical. With soft lighting and comfortable seating, the room has been created with neurodivergent and anxious clients in mind.

You are welcome to make yourself comfortable in whichever chair feels best, and there are fidgets, colouring materials and drinks available to use during your session. The room is private, relaxed and intentionally informal. There is no expectation to sit still, maintain eye contact, or use the space in any particular way.

I know that visiting somewhere new can itself be stressful, so I will soon provide a “what to expect” video tour, showing the journey from the car park to the counselling room and what you will find when you arrive.

My aim is for the Hawthorn Room to feel like somewhere you can settle in, take up space, and be yourself.

Free parking is available, including accessible spaces.

I work from the first floor. A stairlift is available. Alternatively, a wheelchair accessible room is available downstairs. Please let me know if you require it in advance.

If you have any questions or concerns about access, please feel free to contact me and ask.
